Samvad ("we", "our", or "the app") is a scripture reading companion built for personal spiritual study. Your privacy is important to us, and we have designed the app to collect as little data as possible.
We do not collect any personal data. Samvad does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information.
The app stores the following data locally on your device to provide its features:
This data is stored using on-device storage (AsyncStorage) and never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party.
Samvad uses your device's built-in text-to-speech engine to read scripture passages aloud. All speech processing happens on your device. No audio or text data is sent to external servers for this feature.
Samvad does not use any analytics services, tracking pixels, advertising SDKs, or crash reporting tools. We do not track your usage, behavior, or any other activity within the app.
Samvad does not integrate with any third-party services that collect user data. The app functions entirely offline after installation.
The app includes a share feature that uses your device's native share sheet. When you choose to share a reading, the content is shared directly through the platform you select (e.g., Messages, WhatsApp). We do not intercept, store, or have access to any shared content.
Samvad does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The app is suitable for users of all ages.
